We are excited to partner with Third Space Omaha on Second Saturday Craft Circle, a new event for all skills of crafters. From 9:00 AM-10:00 AM, learn a new crafting skill. From 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, work on your own crafting project or just sit and visit with other crafters. If you have a crafting skill you’d like to share during this program, please let us know! Materials will be provided, and you can leave with something you made! Bring your own project for social crafting time.
November Group Craft: Craft Supply Swap
Join us on Saturday, November 14 for a craft supply swap in the Bennington Public Library conference room!
Bring in supplies that are in good shape, are at least half full or that you are no longer using. Ideas include, but are not limited to:
– fabric, thread, needles and sewing notions
– yarn, crochet hooks, knitting needles
– how-to books and patterns (with all pieces included)
– fine art supplies (paints, brushes, art pencils, etc.)
– paper crafting items
– jewelry making supplies
– PLEASE, NO HOME DECOR OR PARTY SUPPLIES
IMPORTANT! Drop off your supplies for the swap before the 14th! Please leave your donations at the library’s front desk November 7-12 during normal library hours. This ensures the swap is fully stocked and organized before the event begins and gives everyone a fair shot at all the supplies available.
We ask that you contributed to the swap before taking anything in the first two hours of the event (it’s a swap, after all!), but there’s no limits on how much you can take. Just be mindful of other swappers and limit yourself to items and amounts you think you’ll really use. During the last hour, anyone may take what’s left regardless of whether they donated or not.
Some other tips:
– come early for the best selection
– bring your own bags
– stay after you swap and craft with us! We will have a space for social crafting during the swap. Or catch us another time, we meet at the library every second Saturday to craft together!
– anything left over after the swap will be donated to Work in Progress, a secondhand craft supply store in Benson.
